YatryOne Privacy Policy

YatryOne ("we", "our", "us") operates the YatryOne mobile application and YatryOne Driver mobile application (the "Apps"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Apps.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Phone Number: Used for account creation and OTP verification.
• Name: Your display name in the app.
• Location Data: Real-time GPS location to provide ride booking, driver matching, and navigation services. Location is collected only when the app is in use (riders) or when the driver is online.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version for app compatibility and crash reporting.
• Ride History: Pickup/drop locations, fare, date/time of rides for your ride history and our service improvement.
• Driver Documents (Drivers only): Aadhaar card photos, driving license, vehicle RC, selfie, and vehicle photo for identity verification purposes.
• Camera & Photo Access: Used only when you upload documents or vehicle photos during driver registration.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match riders with nearby drivers
• To calculate fare estimates based on distance
• To show real-time driver location during rides
• To verify driver identity and documents
• To provide customer support
• To send ride updates and notifications
• To improve our services

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud Platform) located in Asia. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. Driver documents are stored in Firebase Storage with restricted access — only authorized admin personnel can view them for verification purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We share limited information only in these cases:

• During a ride: Rider's pickup location is shared with the assigned driver. Driver's name, vehicle number, and live location are shared with the rider.
• Legal requirements: If required by law enforcement or court order.
• Emergency: SOS alerts share your location with your emergency contacts.

5. Location Data

For Riders: We access your location only when you are actively using the app to book or track a ride. We do not track your location in the background.

For Drivers: When you are "Online" in the Driver App, your location is broadcast every 5 seconds to match you with nearby ride requests. When you go "Offline", location broadcasting stops immediately and your location data is deleted from our servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in our systems
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Opt out of promotional communications
• Withdraw consent for location access via your device settings

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Ride history is kept for 12 months for service quality. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Driver documents are retained for the duration of the driver's active account for regulatory compliance.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
